Nancy Davisson Lindy Obituary 1911

A telephone message was received here Tuesday morning announcing the death of Mrs. Nancy Davisson Lindy, at her home in Washington township, Gibson county, which occurred Monday night at 11:45 o'clock. the funeral services were held at the family residence Wednesday morning, conducted by Rev. McRoberts; burial being made at the Odd Fellows' cemetery at Union. The deceased was ill only a few days with congestion of the brain. She was the mother of seven children, six of whom, with her husband, Jack Lindy, survive her, as does one brother, William K. Davisson, of this city, and one sister, Mrs. Oscar Hammond, of Terre Haute. She had spent nearly all of her life in Clay township, this county, was nearly 57 years of age, and joined the cumberland Presbyterian church when fifteen years old. A most noble lady has passed away to reap the blessings of the heavenly home beyond.
