Lindy Frederick drops dead 1914

Much surprise was occasioned Monday morning about nine o'clock when a telepone message was received stating that Lindy Frederick, one of the best known citizens of Clay township, had dropped dead, at a saw mill boarding house. He was boarding at the saw mill with the other empoyes and had got up at the usual hour that morning and was engaged in the act of washing his face. As he stooped over to splash the water in his face he fell on the floor, dying before he could be picked up. The coroner of Knox county was summoned, who held an inquest. The deceased lived near Union, was a popular and model citizen, all his life being a hard working man. He was fifty-three years of age and is survived by his wife, two sons and one daughter. The funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at Union, attended by many sympathizing friends.
