Pasquale Rizzo Obituary
Surrounded by his loving family, Pasquale Rizzo passed away peacefully in Sacramento September 6, 2003 at the age of 80. Born October 14, 1922 in Utica, NY. Pat is survived by his devoted wife, Jo Ann Rizzo of Sacramento; his son, Jeffrey Rizzo of Los Angeles; his stepdaughter, Elled Fader and husband Ron Fader of Davis, CA; his brothers, Michael Rizzo and Dominic Rizzo of Utica, NY and their wifes, Candace and Angela; his sister, Mary Tenenini and husband Peter of Clinton, NY; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and in-laws; also, step-grandchildren, Rachel and Noah Fader, who especially brought him great joy. Preceded in death by brothers, Joahn and Rocco; sisters, Therese, Phillomena and Rose. After proudly serving in the military during WWII, Pat worked for the government at Griffiss Air Force Base in Rome, NY and was transferred to McClellan AFB in 1965, where he worked until he retired in 1977 to care for his first wife, Joan Rizzo who passed away in 1982. Pat was a kind, generous, fair and gentle man who demonstrated a strong will and courage, especially during his illnesses the last nine years. He will be greatlymissed by all his family and friends. Friends are invited for a viewing Thursday, September 11, 2003 from noon to 7: 00 pm followed by a Rosary at 7:00 pm at Nicoletti, Culjis & Herberger Funeral Home, 5401 Folsom Blvd, (916) 451-7284. Funeral services will be held Friday, Sept. 12, 2003 at 10:30 at St. Stephens Catholic Church, 5461 44th lSt. Interment to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, 6700 21st Ave., Sacramento.
